Lyall is a highly experienced land surveyor in Geelong, with more than 10 years’ demonstrated experience working on land development projects throughout the Greater Geelong region.

He is a Licensed Surveyor, having completed his Professional Training Agreement in 2021. He has experience providing a range of surveying services across the full land development life cycle, supporting clients with clear, practical advice to help projects stay on track, from planning through to registration.

His skillset spans various types of land survey work, including cadastral re-establishment survey, preparation and lodgement of plans of subdivision, as-built surveys of newly constructed civil assets, preparation of lease plan, building construction setout, feature and level surveys and laser scanning projects.

In addition to his technical abilities, Lyall is known for his accuracy and responsiveness. He is proficient in project management, liaising with clients and authorities to gain efficient compliance timelines for plans of subdivision. He is also experienced in managing staff and project workloads, as the team leader for our local land surveyors in Geelong.

Since joining Spiire as a Graduate, Lyall has enjoyed the opportunity to learn from senior surveyors within the business, including those who have spent multiple decades working in the land development sector.

He also regularly works together with our in-house disciplines to find efficient and effective solutions, in a coordinated approach to project delivery. Through this collaboration with both internal and external consultants, Lyall has developed a deep understanding for the requirements of multiple disciplines.

Lyall has provided survey services to support prominent projects throughout Greater Geelong’s growth corridors, including the Armstrong Creek Town Centre development, the masterplanned Austin Lara residential estate and the Kingston community in Ocean Grove.

Lyall lives locally in Geelong and maintains strong connections to the land surveying industry, as a member of the Institute of Surveyors Victoria.
