Steve brings extensive experience spanning 45 years as a land surveyor, Director and Manager across the ACT to his new role as Principal Surveyor in Spiire’s Canberra office.
Well-positioned to provide local knowledge and expertise, Steve led the integration of Mail McDonald Barnsley (MMB) Surveying and Spiire, bringing together a skilled Survey team to broaden Spiire’s in-house capability.
Throughout 38 years as Director and Manager of a small business with multiple Survey teams in the ACT and surrounds, Steve gained diverse expertise across a broad range of projects. His skillset encompasses all facets of cadastral, engineering and construction surveying, including urban and rural subdivisions, feature surveys for development applications, large-scale detail surveys, unit plans, residential surveys, Property Council of Australia and sublease surveys, and commercial building surveys.
Across his distinguished career, Steve nurtured relationships with numerous government agencies including Office of the Surveyor-General & Land Information and Suburban Land Agency, clients and consultants from multidisciplinary backgrounds. His close work with developers, builders, homeowners and property and infrastructure specialists brings a valued perspective to Spiire’s integrated team.
