Spiire provided Civil Engineering, Water Engineering and Surveying services to Stockland for the Orion Townhouse Development in Braybrook.
Located approximately 12km west of the Melbourne CBD and requiring the redevelopment of 11.5 hectares of obsolete industrial land with frontages to the Sydenham Rail Line and the Matthew Hill Reserve in Braybrook.
As part of this development, Spiire are currently engaged to undertake the Civil Engineering and Water Engineering design as well as managing the civil construction phase and providing surveying services.
The Orion redevelopment consists of the following;
- External infrastructure upgrades
- Open swale along southern boundary abutting the rail land and discharging to a retarding basin
- Redesign and relocation of existing infrastructure such as main sewer and drainage infrastructure, existing overhead electrical and telecommunications
- Superintendence of the works, including main infrastructure; and
- Bulk earthworks.
Braybrook already has a well-established community with an interface along the northern and western boundaries of the Orion development. The team were able to facilitate delivery of works with minimal impact on the community given the close proximity.
