Spiire was engaged by CluBarham and Villawood Properties to provide civil engineering and survey services for the Barham Lakes Lifestyle Resort.
The 220-home lifestyle community is set to revitalise the Club’s substantial property on the banks of the Murray River in Barham, NSW. Once a recreation precinct, the site was closed to the public for many years.
Our Bendigo team’s history with the project dates back to providing due diligence advice to the Club about options to unlock the site’s potential, including the rare opportunity to create a lifestyle village nestled among the picturesque lake environs.
We then provided a feature and level survey and civil engineering documentation to support the lifestyle village development application, including servicing strategies, a stormwater management strategy, and functional layouts.
The civil engineering designs responded to the challenging topography; a legacy from the creation of the man-made lake system. The grading and drainage for the undulating site was carefully considered to meet the requirements for this lifestyle community development to proceed.
Given the property’s significant native flora and fauna, our civil engineers worked together with the external consultant team to maximise retained vegetation.
With development approval now in place, we look forward to continuing to support our clients’ vision for the Barham Lakes Lifestyle Resort into the next phase of the project.
