Town Planning

Glennie is a Senior Associate town planner in Brisbane and team leader of the local Town Planning team.

She has extensive experience in the private sector in both Victoria and Queensland. Her work on large-scale planning projects has spanned renewable energy, health, infrastructure, residential, commercial and industrial developments.

Her involvement in a range of planning projects has given Glennie a comprehensive understanding of statutory planning and the planning approval process, with proven project management and client relationship skills.

Glennie’s core area of expertise is facilitating planning approval for State-significant projects via Ministerial approval pathways. These projects demonstrate her ability to manage large stakeholder groups and deliver successful outcomes in critical timeframes.

Before returning to Queensland, Glennie spent five years in Spiire’s Melbourne Town Planning team. In this time, she progressed from Professional to Senior Associate level while gaining experience as the lead town planner on a wide range of projects.

Since being back in Brisbane, Glennie has supported the growth of our local team of town planners. The team has excelled with development applications for renewable energy facilities, masterplanned residential estates, and townhouse and multiple dwelling developments.

Glennie has provided town planning due diligence and driven development approval of solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects within Queensland’s renewable energy sector. This has positioned her at the forefront of developing policy and understanding community expectations for these projects.

Glennie is also passionate about having a positive impact on the people around her, from her colleagues in the Brisbane office and our wider Town Planning team, to the communities she works within.

“I feel lucky to work in an industry that can positively shape our cities,” she says. “This drives me to look for innovative and inspired ideas that can provide long-term benefit to the community.”

As a member of the UDIA Queensland Planning and Environment Committee, Glennie enjoys the opportunity to contribute to the state’s property sector and draw on her expertise as a town planner to help shape conversations promoting positive policy changes. In addition, Glennie is joining the PIA QLD Women in Planning Committee in 2025 and looks forward to advocating for women in the industry.

Glennie is one of a team of multidisciplinary consultants who live and work in Queensland. Visit our Brisbane office page to find out more about the services we offer and contact us to discuss your project needs.
