Matt is a Principal Landscape Architect (AILA) with over 20 years’ experience in private consulting across Australia, South East Asia and Europe.

Joining Spiire in 2008, he is a highly regarded creative leader who oversees our multi-disciplinary teams with focus on integrated design outcomes. Matt’s expertise is in design direction, strategic assessment, and delivering complex green infrastructure strategies.

Matt is passionate about the responsibility of landscape systems and green infrastructure in our growing cities. More recently Matt is focused on population growth in Australia’s major cities and the role of inclusive design.

He remains actively involved in the Master of Landscape Architecture programs at RMIT, Melbourne University and Deakin University; his lecturing focused on integrated landscape systems and future cities. He is also a regular panel and seminar speaker on topics including CBD revitilisation, activation through green infrastructure, and the value of open space in future cities.
