Damien brings extensive experience as a Principal level Registered Surveyor to our Canberra office, boosting the local capacity and capability of our team of surveyors in Canberra. Damien specialises in residential and commercial set‑out, detail and feature surveys, land development, and subdivision management.
Over his career, he has built a strong foundation in cadastral, engineering and development‑related surveying, supporting a wide range of urban, and rural projects including major land development projects such as South Jerrabomberra in NSW.
His experience also extends to urban & rural boundary re‑establishments, and construction set‑out for commercial and residential projects.
Damien’s capabilities span the full lifecycle of land development, from initial feasibility through to project delivery. He has managed complex subdivision processes, coordinated Development Applications, and worked closely with town planners, specialist consultants, and government authorities to ensure compliant and efficient project outcomes.
As a Project Manager, Damien takes a client-focused approach, building strong working relationships and gaining a clear understanding of each client’s priorities to ensure their needs are met throughout the project.
By combining traditional surveying expertise with advanced technologies including 3D laser scanning, RPAS (drone) capture, LiDAR, photogrammetry, GIS, reality modelling and digital engineering workflows, Damien develops tailored solutions that respond to the unique challenges of every project.
His approach is technology-enabled, but outcome-driven, working closely with clients and project teams to understand the objectives, risks and opportunities before selecting the most appropriate methodology.
He also values the opportunity to work collaboratively across Spiire’s multidisciplinary teams, partnering closely with civil engineers, urban designers, landscape architects and construction consultancy specialists to deliver integrated project outcomes.
A Board member for the Insitution of Surveyors NSW, Damien is deply conneccted with the Surveying industry in Canberra and NSW. With a deep understanding of legislative frameworks in both NSW and the ACT, Damien brings technical precision, strong project management skills, and a collaborative approach to every project he leads.
