Spiire was engaged by Satterley Property Group to provide civil engineering, construction consultancy and water engineering services at Bluestone estate. The 468-lot development with over 13ha of open space is located in Tarneit, 24kms from Melbourne’s CBD. The estate offers a variety of lot sizes, ranging from 198-424m²
Our civil engineers provided the detailed design for all 10 stages of the estate, including key infrastructure to support future residents. This included upgrades to Derrimut Road to accommodate increased traffic flow, by creating a left-in, left-out entrance to the estate.
Our local Construction Consultancy Services team were the superintendents of the estate, and worked closely with Symon Bros Construction through delivery of our team’s designs. Since construction commenced in 2021, our Surveying and Spatial team has provided regular flyovers to capture progress.
The site included a pre-existing waterway which has been incorporated into a significant open space. Our Civil and Water Engineering teams worked together to accommodate the waterway into the development, including two large culvert crossings constructed beneath new roads.
Our teams worked with Winslow Infrastructure on the delivery of the 32m single-span Skeleton Creek Bridge, which links Bluestone with two nearby developments. Given its interfaces with neighbouring communities, we also worked closely with the external stakeholders throughout the design and construction of the bridge.
This essential link crosses Skeleton Creek, connecting Bluestone and a neighbouring estate to the south with Everton Road to the east, where Truganina Central Shopping Centre is located. The bridge project was a collaborative effort in improving local infrastructure, which aims to make it easier for residents in these communities to access local amenities.
Our Civil Engineering team is also working with Oreana at Bluestone Hub, the new 1.47ha integrated town centre that is set to boost local retail, food, early education and medical amenities in the community.
