Spiire was engaged by the Victorian Health and Human Services Building Authority (VHHSBA) to undertake a comprehensive review of the planning controls of three potential sites to help guide and inform the selection of a site for the New Footscray Hospital.
Spiire’s review provided the VHHSBA with an in depth understanding of the challenges and opportunities aiding the VHHSBA to make an informed decision about the future site of the hospital.
The New Footscray Hospital will be a $1.5 billion dollar project which will provide over 500 new beds to the community. Expected to open in 2025, it will be a keystone project which will not only meet the health needs of the community, but will also ensure Footscray’s role as a Major Activity Centre with an emphasis on health, research and education facilities within the area.
