Coburg Hill Estate
Coburg Hill Raingarden was created as part of Coburg Hill Estate. The raingarden is nestled on the banks of Edgars Creek to removed pollutants from stormwater runoff via two gross pollutant traps, a sediment pond and biofiltration.
The challenges of ground contamination from previous land industrial use (chemical leeching), with steep terrain between the roads and the creek were overcome with the clever design solutions including drainage drop structures and significant retaining walls, integrated with landscape design. The asset is now an icon of the surrounding residential area and is well used, and enjoyed by all.Integrated Water
