Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre Turns 1

The Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre (AWRCC) has celebrated its first birthday.

One year on the bespoke development is making its mark on the region now employing 200 staff and seeing over 50,000 patients per year.

People gather in the shape of a heart to mark the milestone birthday of the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre.

The $70M state-of-the-art development incorporates a 30-bed inpatient ward and a 30-chair oncology day-unit, which provides a scenic view for the patients.

In development for two years, the AWRCC project incorporated techniques that were new to the region and its workers. Spiire was instrumental in the success of the project by providing technical assistance to help create the innovative ‘bubble deck’ slabs on the first and second floors.

We’re excited to see this progressive facility in action making an impact on the region.
